Engage Winona is thrilled to host rural sociologist Ben Winchester on Thursday, November 13 from 8 am to 11:45 am for a half-day convening on the future community and housing development of our region.
Winchester works in the Extension Department of Community Development at the University of Minnesota and has been working both in and for small towns across the Midwest for over 25 years. He conducts applied research on economic, social, and demographic topics surrounding a theme of “rewriting the rural narrative” and received the Rural Renewal Research Prize in 2021 for this work.
This event is geared toward those connected to community and economic development in our region, along with interested community leaders and the general public.
