Engage Winona seeks program associate

We know many people in the Winona area struggle to find safe, affordable housing. So we're thrilled to announce that we're hiring a program associate whose focus will be a new housing justice program.

This new position is 32 hours/week, and it is a grant-funded position for the year 2023, with extension dependent on funding. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating a new program where you will be facilitating conversations and supporting community members to lead housing advocacy work. Applications are accepted now until Sunday, March 12, 2023.

Interested? You might be our ideal candidate if…

  • you have lived experience with housing instability - for example, experiencing homelessness or eviction, having a hard time finding decent or affordable housing, or paying more than 30% of your income for housing

  • you have a history of facilitating conversations with people of different ages and backgrounds

  • you have lived experience or work experience with historically marginalized groups

  • you are deeply passionate about rural communities, social justice, and fair housing

  • you understand that community work is complex, slow, and requires dealing with all the things that can stand in the way of change - conflict, politics, few resources, lack of vision, low energy

If that’s you, or someone you know, find out more and apply at engagewinona.org/jobs.

The starting salary range is $32-35,000 for 32 hours/wk depending on qualifications. Benefits include generous paid time off, flexible work hours and location, phone allowance, and professional development allowance.

Applications are accepted now until Monday, March 12.
